This is a Google search tool I have embedded it on a few pages where searching HilbigFamily.com may become useful. Like the Family Tree Page you will be able to type the name of the family member which you are looking for and find all the pages in which his/her name appears. This was unable to work before but I have fixed the problem, however it will not work perfectly until Google indexes this website again which may be a few weeks or less. I may try to find a temporary solution.

Here you will find a Family Tree dating back a bit further than 1791 Prussia, Historical photos, a Web Forum (Hilbig Hall) where we can post Births of children, Birthdays, Anniversaries, New jobs or Endeavors of note, anything we desire. With the Forum we will be able to do all of these wonderful things in a Public or Private Family area at each of our own discretion. Also, My Links links to a bunch of my favorite sites and programs Family News, T.O.C (Table Of Contents), And ELH Photo's.

Family News is simply a place for me to jot down tidbits of upcoming News, Birthdays, and what's new to the site. The occasional link may appear, this would be simply for convenience purposes. This area should be fairly self explanatory. Look for it towards the bottom of the Main Page.

Is a link to my Personal Family Photo Album. My Album is password protected, if you posses the knowledge to crack it good for you and enjoy the photo's. My album is not password protected to keep everyone out I just didn't want to leave it quite as open or accessible. Anyone who would like to view my photo's just email me or post in Hilbig Hall and I will send you the user name & password.
On the Main page of my Album you will see five gallery links on the right "Gallery #1 " thru "Gallery #5". Clicking on these links will take you to one of five different galleries of thumbnail photos; from this point you would simple choose the photo you wish to view and click it. You will again be sent to the photo's web page, these pages have navigation buttons at the top of each page " < Main >" and can be used to navigate from picture to picture or return to the thumbnail gallery to choose another picture. On the left you will see "Family", "Baptism", "Easter", "Birthday", "Christmas", "Places Visited", "Kids #1" "Kids #2". These are the new format pages explained below. You will also soon see "Party People". Party People will lead to another password protected Photo Album the photo's viewed in this Album could be considered Explicit. Therefore, the are kept out of the view of those who may be offended as well as any children that may just want to view Family Photo's. The Username & Password will be available to most who request it over the age of eighteen, but is mainly intended for Family and Friends within my own peer group..
The reason for the new format is because this is easier to do than the old way and I can put these pictures up at their original file size meaning they are all as printable as the individual photo will get. You can save the images to floppy or disk and take them to Wal-Mart for example and have them developed. Most will look great at 4x6 or 5x7 any larger you will start to lose picture quality. Although, some won't look as good at 4x6 or 5x7 but a few of the new ones will look better and you should even be able to print them in 8x10 without loosing quality. I am also able to put my entire photo collection up this consists of quite a few pictures (Roughly 2,000 Pictures) so descriptions will be very slow coming. I am leaving the old format up as well for those of you who may prefer it. However, no more new photo's will be added to the old format. To save photo's first choose the large photo you wish to save then right click it, a menu will appear choose "Save picture as"; save your photo to your hard drive from there you can print it/them yourself or copy it/them to disk and take it/them to be developed. At the bottom of the page on Kids Picture #1 you will find two links "Zari Audio Bites: 1 2", 1 & 2 being separate links they are two different audio tracks of Zari saying cute things at about 18 months old. You can also find an .avi video of Zari blowing out her candles on her 5th B-Day "Zari Blows out Candles 5th B-Day".

On the Historical Photo's links to Historical Photos of the Hilbig Family and other Surnames related to the Hilbig family. These pages are very simply laid out once on the page you can view the different thumbnails and captions (brief descriptions). Simply click the thumbnail to view the enlarged photo. This is an Absolutely wonderful way to get to know your ancestors and get a real feeling for how they must have lived. Also possibly bring back some old memories of times long since past.

Like our ancestor that was kidnapped by Indians and raised to become an Indian Raider or another that had something to do with The Hole in the wall Gang (Butch & Sundance). Hilbig's CA (Canada): I had received an e-mail from Tom Hilbig of Canada who had taken some information about his family gathered by his father Eric Hilbig (Kinda neat even in the family tree he is the only other Eric Hilbig I have ever heard of..) and put it online he sent me a link explaining it may disappear any day now. So I asked his permission to copy the web page and host it here he agreed and now we have a wonderful story of the Hilbig's journey to Canada and their beginnings there. Thanks Tom
How to Use the Family Tree:
First
you click Search HilbigFamily.com or pick your Starting point. Which name would you like to begin with.. This
Tree reads both past to present and present to past. Although, getting to the
present can be rough or you may have to go through the past to get to the
present unless you use the Google search tool. You can use your Back buttons
to navigate this Tree or the Name links to go forward and the Son or
Daughter Of: links to go in reverse... For instance if you follow Anton to Wilhelm to Bruno
you will then have to use your back button or the Son or Daughter Of:
links to get back to Wilhelm to view
Bruno's brothers and sister's pages. I have also added Grandchildren and Great
Grandchildren to the left & right of each page. They are great if you are
looking for someone specific but don't use them too much or you'll end up lost.
On every page listed (linked) on the Family Tree Main Page you will see a icon "
" this icon will lead you back to the Hilbig Family Tree Main Page.

Search HilbigFamily.com will work with the entire public portion of the website, however it's main intent is to be used to quickly find names in our Family Tree.
When you see this icon "@" it is a link for you to email me (it may be a bit smaller or larger it's purpose is the same). The email me icon only appears on pages that ask for your feedback and the Disclaimer page it will not appear on the Web Forum; my email is however available there as well.
The Home icon below will lead you back to the main page. Which main page depends on where you clicked it. If you were looking at a Family members Family Tree page and click it, it would lead you back too the Family Tree main page. If you clicked it on the Family Tree main page it would lead you back to the HilbigFamily.com main page...
